Because two noisy, bossy, head-strong, stinky, cheeky, cute, obnoxious, tiring, unhelpful female offspring is never enough......we thought, balls to it, let's have some more! With the arrival of twins in 2011, we now have four girls and chaos reigns. Welcome to my space and read all about the mundane, everydayness of Trouble Towers and all who live here.
To celebrate my first year of blogging, I am pleased as punch to announce my very first carnival - the Multi Coloured Blog Swap. It is a bit of blogging anarchy in the name of fun and networking.
The carnival is open to all bloggers - parenting bloggers, food bloggers, poets, crafty crafters, TV bloggers, or fashionistas, and everything in between. There will also be a separate, tandem carnival for any business blogs that want to take part too.
The idea is that we all provide a guest post for someone else's blog, and host someone else's in return. Like a swingers party, without the car-keys. Or the actual swinging.
The swaps will be completely random, and will be a round the table swap, where your host isn't the same blogger as your contributor. This is an opportunity to get your words onto someone else's blog and find some more readers, and to have something fresh on your own blog. We may also make some new bloggy friends along the way.
For all you newbies, this is a chance to get on an established blog. For all your veterans, this is your chance to help out the little people.
There are some guidelines on the post below. I reserve the right not to allocate a swap to anyone who breaches the guidelines.
If you want to take part, please get in touch via email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible, and get writing. I will allocate swaps by the 22nd of February, and we all hit the publish button on the 29th. Easy Peasy. A badge will be available in time, with a bit of luck. There will also be a linky here so others can see who has taken part.
Should be at least 400 words, but no more than 1000.
The post should be an original which is not or will not be reproduced elsewhere.
Any pictures need to be copyright free and available to use by the blog owner.
Should be typical of your own blog - they are a good opportunity to showcase what your own blog is about.
Should be the best you can make it - this is a chance to sparkle and attract new readers.
Should be respectful of the host. Don't do anything that would deeply offend your host's readers.
Can not be anything commercial, including the business category.
So as not to devalue your host's blog, please no posts with external links to third parties.
